Portugal’s Heart | Lisbon & Porto

April 7, 2017

By Manolis Mathioudakis

Portugal with its colors, smells, tastes and friendly people, captures your heart instantly. This is what happened to me last December when I had the opportunity to visit Porto and Lisbon, a trip that had always been on my list.

Each city has its own character but they both offer the visitor a wonderful experience for both the senses and the heart.

I find that the best way to get to know a city is by getting lost in it, by wandering off the beaten path. This enables me to mix with the city, its culture and the everyday life of locals. This is what I try to capture with my photos – not only the buildings, but the city in all its manifestations.
